Naomi Brookes Counselling | The Good Life Therapy Centre Exeter | Exeter Therapist

Naomi Brookes

1:1 Counselling | Trauma-informed | Neurodiversity-affirming

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults carrying grief, overwhelm, burnout and change. You may be feeling anxious, low, lost, or emotionally overloaded, and unsure how to keep managing on your own. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can explore what is going on for you at your own pace.

I am an integrative humanistic counsellor, which means I draw on a range of approaches to meet your individual needs. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where you can feel safe, heard and understood.

I have a particular interest in supporting people with grief and loss, overwhelm, burnout, workplace pressure and life transitions. My work is also trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, offering space for greater self-understanding and acceptance.

My approach is compassionate, reflective, thoughtful and non-judgemental. Together, we can explore your experiences, make sense of what has brought you to counselling, and support you in moving towards greater clarity and self-understanding.

Sarah Lucas Exeter Therapist | Counselling Exeter | The Good Life Therapy & Practice Rooms

Sarah Lucas Counselling

Integrative Counsellor | Relationships, Neurodivergence & Life Changes | Working with Adults

Hi, I’m Sarah. Sometimes people come to therapy with a clear focus; other times it’s just a sense that something isn’t quite right. Wherever you’re starting from, we can begin there.

Some common areas I work with include:
Relationships – finding them harder than they should be and perhaps blaming yourself; recovering from emotional abuse; or managing difficult family dynamics.

Life transitions – navigating a busy life alongside perimenopause or menopause, questioning where you are in life, adjusting to parenthood, or children leaving home.

Neurodivergence – adjusting to a diagnosis, feeling the impact of years of masking to feel safe or accepted, or coping with burnout, anxiety or low mood.

How I Work: My approach is collaborative, warm and relaxed. I blend person-centred therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and CBT, adapting to your needs, preferences and pace.

Sessions are a place where you don’t have to hide parts of yourself and can say if something isn’t working. We can explore the ways you tend to think or react that may no longer feel helpful. I’ll gently challenge you where it’s useful, and offer practical tools if you’d like them.

I take a neuro-affirming approach and have completed additional training in working with autistic adults and ADHD. I recognise neurodivergence as part of who you are and adapt my approach to suit your mind, not to change it.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation, available via video call or by phone. This is a relaxed, no-pressure chance for us to connect. You can share what you’re looking for and ask any questions to see if we’re a good match. There’s no rush to make a decision right away.

My approach recognises the close connection between physical and mental wellbeing, and focuses on reducing distress and improving quality of life by understanding these mind-body links.

I use evidence‑based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).  When working with young children, I use creative approaches such as stories and sandtray EMDR to help them process difficult experiences in a way that feels safe and playful.

Marie Mellis | Sacred Symphony Sounds

Tuning Fork Therapy | Sound Baths | Angelic Healing | Merkaba Connection | Crystal Healing | Copper Pyramid Connection | Animal Therapy | Reiki – Energy Healing | Family & Couples Therapy

Hi, my name is Marie and I have worked in health care for over 30 years in various different roles, including: Mental health, Learning disability, Dementia, and Kidney dialysis.

During these roles I have seen a lot of what stress can do to the body mind soul. During my own journey of needing relaxation I embarked on tuning fork therapy. This really helped me with emotional issues & the need for rest &  deep relaxation, along with pain relief.

I was and still am amazed at how sound therapy helps with a wide range of health care needs. I have a wide range of instruments that connect to different part of the body. I have been using sound therapy & Energy Reiki Healing now for over 10 years.

The main help sound therapy’s achieves is Deep Relaxation and Stress Reduction, Promoting a profound sense of calm, Pain and Tension Relief, Emotional Balance and Mental Clarity, Energy Balancing, Enhanced Mindfulness, and Nervous System Regulation.

The body’s cells and tissues are believed to “resonate” or vibrate sympathetically with the frequency of the tuning fork, encouraging a return to a balanced state.

Tuning Fork Sound Therapy | Reflexology

Hello! My journey as a Holistic Practitioner spans over 30 years, beginning with my work as an Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, Energy Worker, and Life Coach. Through these foundational practices, I developed a deep understanding of the body’s innate healing wisdom and the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit. Today, I specialise in Sound Therapy and Qigong for beginners here in beautiful South Devon, bringing together many years of experience to support others on their wellness journey.

After two decades supporting wellbeing in schools across the UK and internationally, life led me to a profound encounter with tuning fork therapy. I am constantly humbled by the way energy finds its rhythm, how our bodies remember their innate wisdom to heal, and how our hearts open to receive exactly what we need.

Drawing from my holistic background, I weave together different elements to create sacred space for transformation. My aim is to help you discover your own pathway to wellness.

I am the facilitator, you are the healer.

Liam Staple Exeter Homeopathy Therapy

Liam Staple | Restore Homeopathy

Homeopathy

I’m Liam, a qualified homeopath based in the ever beautiful Devon, where I’ve been enjoying supporting clients on their wellness journey. With a previous  background in fitness and movement, health and well-being has been a passion of mine for years and I have a keen interest in listening to and helping others.

Homeopathy found it’s way to me though my own illness and  challenges, including ME and fibromyalgia. I’ve always been fascinated at how the body can restore balance and heal itself if given the right tools and guidance.

At restore I take a highly individualised approach to health and well-being. Everyone has a different body, spirit and mind, and homeopathy can offer a gentle and powerful solution to supporting the body’s natural restorative processes. It will provide succinct instructions to the body so it can begin to restore its own innate vitality. It’s useful for both chronic and acute conditions.

Outside of practice, I remain committed to my own health through fitness, hiking, meditation, real food and mindful living. I bring this same dedication and enthusiasm to supporting my clients in Devon and beyond.

I look forward to hearing from you and wish you joy and good health.

Amanda Morris | The Good Life Therapy Centre | Exeter Therapist

Amanda Morris

Lymphoedema Therapist | Manual Lymphatic Drainage | Bowen Therapist | Scar Therapist (MSTR) | Body Mind Reset Technique (BMRT)

I have been training in bodywork since 1997. After qualifying as a Massage Therapist and Holistic Aromatherapist with The Tisserand Institute in 1999, I continued training and incorporating new and complimentary treatments to support my clients, including:

Studying Lymphology at the Földi Clinic in Germany in 2008, qualifying in the practice of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Multi-Layer Compression Bandaging, as a Certified Lymphoedema Therapist. This is one of the most highly recognised trainings in Europe and enabled me to work within a team of specialists in the Lymphoedema Clinic at St. Georges Hospital, London, treating patients with advanced stages of both primary and secondary lymphoedema and lipoedema.

I qualified with the European College of Bowen Studies (ECBS) in 2011 and continue to attend further training to enhance my skills as a Bowen Technique Practitioner.

I am also trained in MSTR (McLouglin Scar Tissue Release) a fantastic gentle way of releasing scars and scar tissue, no matter how long the scars have been there.

Finally, I am fully trained in BMRT, or Body Mind Reset Technique – a way to reprogram the mind. I believe every condition we have, either mental, physical, or emotional, stems from a stressful or traumatic event that either happened to us, through ancestral/inhereted trauma, or even through past lives. BMRT is an energy work therapy which allows me to work with your subconscious mind. Once the event is no longer stored in the subconscious mind, it is unable to be present as a ‘condition’ or ‘issue’ in the body.

Kelly Day | Exeter Therapist | The Good Life Therapy Centre

Kelly Day

Counselling | Reiki | Sound Healing | Shamanic Healing

I have always been drawn to helping people, and perhaps I can help you.

I am a counsellor, sound healer and Reiki practitioner and often these modalities come in to a series of different sessions. If you feel you are in need of some support then hopefully you are in the right place. I work in Crediton and in Exeter.

I have a gentle approach which seems to put people at ease and this is when the healing begins. All areas that I work in incorporate mind, body, spirit and emotion. We look at the whole and how we are interwoven.  Your needs are met with integrity, empathy and a commitment to support you in the best way for you.

In a counselling session I provide a safe space where we can talk about what is present for you and start to explore what is beneath that. My work has many threads and we can decide the best approach together through connection and trust for each other.

Reiki allows relaxation and healing – a gentle form of body work channelled through spiritual connection. It may help to identify and heal blocks, calm anxiety, soothe your whole being, and often can provide intuitive insight.

Sound healing can work on specific areas of pain, stress, depression, anxiety, relaxation. A combination of different instruments are played on and off the body working on target areas as well as the whole. A session can also focus on the rebalancing of your energy fields. A sound healing experience can be quite profound.
