We believe that every couple is unique, and we tailor our approach to fit your specific needs and experiences.

Taking the step to seek help is a positive move towards strengthening your relationship, and we’re honored to be part of your journey. Our goal is to equip you with the tools and insights needed to navigate conflicts, enhance intimacy, and foster a deeper emotional connection. Our growing team of trained and qualified therapists are committed to offering you the highest standard of care, all while ensuring that we are fully insured for your peace of mind.

If you or your partner are struggling with any of the following relationship issues, couples therapy is advised:

  • Frequent fights or conflicts
  • Infidelity, trust, or commitment issues

  • Poor or problematic communication
  • Issues with sex life or intimacy
  • Disagreements or strain over finances

  • Feeling disconnected or misunderstood

  • Complications with relatives (i.e., in-laws) and friends

  • Problems related to raising children, parenting styles, and other family stressors

  • Differences in beliefs and decision-making

  • Major life changes

  • Reoccurring thoughts of separation or divorce
  • Infertility struggles and challenges

It is incredibly easy to let the day-to-day stress of work, kids and family affect you – not to mention external issues that may not be addressed, like differing family dynamics, mental health issues and unexpected life events.

Together, let’s explore your relationship, celebrate your strengths, and work through challenges—because every relationship deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive.

Let’s Get Started

When thinking about starting couples therapy or finding a new couples therapist, here are a few things to consider:

1) Schedule – Weekly or fortnightly therapy sessions have proven to be the most effective, so it’s worth considering when you both will have availability around work, school, or family.

2) Cost – Couples therapy is an investment in your relationship. That said, our centre offers a range of couples therapy services at different rates.

3) Area of Focus – While most therapists cover a range of areas, it is important to consider any specialty support you both may need (trauma, adoption, special needs parenting, neurodivergence, etc).

Creative Kinesiology offers a unique and holistic approach to couples therapy, focusing on individual healing within the relationship dynamic. Rather than solely addressing external conflicts, this modality delves into the personal histories and emotional patterns of each partner to foster deeper understanding and connection.

When starting a session the first chat is really important. It typically begins with an open and friendly conversation where each partner is given the space to share their perspective and explain what issues or concerns they are experiencing. This helps ensure that both voices are heard and understood form the outset.

During this initial conversation, I might ask questions to understand the dynamics of the relationship, any recurring conflicts, or emotional patterns that may be affecting both of you. The goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where each person feels comfortable expressing themselves without judgment.

Once I have a clear picture of what each partner is experiencing, muscle testing might come in as an option to help identify underlying emotional blocks or stressors. This is when  121 work with each partner could be an option and be incorporated as part of the couples therapy.

Muscle testing is a gentle technique that can access subconscious insights, helping to pinpoint areas that might need attention. It is a non-invasive way to explore what might be contributing to the issues on a deeper level. More information can be found on my website or the link to 121 sessions with a Creative Kinesiologist.

Or  you can choose to continue working together on a coaching level, which involves ongoing support, guidance, and practical tools to strengthen your relationship. This approach focuses on personal growth, communication skills, and emotional resilience, and it can be tailored to your specific needs without necessarily using the Creative Kinesiology approach.

Continuing on a coaching level allows you to maintain momentum, set new goals, and work through challenges as they arise, all within a supportive framework. It’s a flexible way to keep improving your relationship and personal well-being over time.

Throughout the process, I focus on fostering communication, empathy, and understanding between partners, helping you both feel heard and supported as you work toward greater harmony in your relationship.

How Creative Kinesiology works in Couples Sessions

  1. Individual Exploration: we start with a friendly, open dialogue where each partner shares their perspective, feelings and concerns. This helps create a safe space and ensures everyone feels heard.
  2. Understanding the Dynamics: I ask questions to better understand the relationship dynamics, recurring issues, and emotional patterns. This helps me get a clearer picture of what might be underlying the surface problems.
  3. Using Muscle Testing: Depending on the situation, I might incorporate muscle testing to access subconscious insights. This gentle technique can help identify emotional blocks, stressors, or imbalances that might not be immediately obviously.
  4. Addressing underlying issues: Based on what we discover, I may guide you through specific techniques or exercises designed to release emotional stress, improve communication, and foster understanding for oneself and the partner. This could include visualization, affirmations, or other kinesiology methods.
  5. Creating a plan: We work together to develop practical steps or tools both of you can use outside of sessions to continue strengthening your relationship. Throughout the process, my goal is to support both of you in feeling heard, understood and empowered to work through challenges together.

Benefits for couples

  • Enhanced Communication: By addressing underlying emotional triggers, couples can communicate more openly and empathetically.
  • Healing past Wounds: The process allows for the release of past traumas that may be impacting the relationship.
  • Empowerment through Self-Discovery: Each partner gains insight into their own emotional landscape, fostering personal growth and a deeper connection.
  • Breaking negative Patterns: The therapy helps in identifying and altering destructive behaviors, leading to healthier relationship dynamics.

Creative Kinesiology provides a pathway for couples to heal and grow together by focusing on individual healing within the relationship context. Through this approach, couples can build a more resilient and harmonious partnership.

All couples go through periods of difficulty. Even the healthiest and strongest relationships experience times where one or both partners feel lonely, stuck, or like their love has run its course.

The truth is, every relationship can benefit from couples therapy. We all have space to grow and therapy can help lay the groundwork in preparing for challenges that may come our way.

Using the most effective and scientfic couples therapy in the world, The Gottman Method, we will work to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy in conflicting situations, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.
