Let’s Get Started
When thinking about starting therapy or finding a new therapist, here are a few things to consider:
1) Schedule – Weekly or fortnightly therapy sessions have proven to be the most effective, so it’s worth considering when you will have availability around work, school, or family.
2) Cost – Therapy is an investment in yourself. That said, our centre offers a range of therapy services at different rates.
3) Area of Focus – While most therapists cover a range of areas, it is important to consider any specialy support you may need (young people, trauma, domestic violence, maternal mental health, Neurodivergence, etc).

“I’m tired of feeling like I should be coping by now, but inside I’m falling apart”, “they think I’m faking being ill, but I’m actually faking being OK”, “I’m so tired and stressed, I don’t know how to keep going”.
If any of these questions resonate with you and you’re feeling lost, lonely, exhausted, angry, anxious, scared or worried about the future, counselling with me will help.
I’m Kate, a therapist who has felt lost and tired before and knows the uphill battle to keep on top of everything, trying to pour from an empty cup. I work with grief and loss; from bereavement by suicide, pet bereavement, to chronic health conditions (Lupus, RA, fibro, etc), miscarriages & IVF, lost identities and gaining new ones, such as a new ADHD diagnosis, divorce, and retirement.
After 25 years in education, I am well placed to help Teachers who are struggling with work, possibly considering a change of career, or life in general, coupled with the demands of working within education.
Having worked with secondary-age children for 25 years, I also accept clients at secondary school and above.
I help you identify and understand your feelings, work out how trauma is impacting your life and help you find yourself again. The anxiety in your chest lifts, the brain fog lessens, you feel calmer, more accepting of your situation and know yourself better. My unique blend of calm, non-judgmental listening, coupled with psychoeducation, creates a safe space that facilitates change for my clients.
I am a qualified and insured integrative counsellor, registered with the BACP. I pick the most appropriate type of therapy for my clients and what they are facing, and create a unique experience for each person. I work on a long or short-term basis, with regular reviews to check progress and how you feel it is going.
Gifting yourself therapy can be a life-changing experience. Reach out for a 15-minute free call with a compassionate counsellor who wants to go on your journey with you.

Whatever problems and difficulties you are experiencing, you don’t have to be alone. Bring all of who you are and together we can sit and explore your concerns at your own pace. I can help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others. We can begin to work out how your past experiences of life may have created ways of thinking, beliefs or patterns of relating which are unhelpful for you now.
Making sense of your problems can enable you to make changes, move forward and live your life more authentically.
Before deciding to train in counselling, I worked as a Holistic Complimentary Therapist for more than 20 years supporting people affected by cancer and their families. As a Counsellor, I integrate my years of experience as a Holistic Therapist and my own personal life experience into my counselling work. I find that this can be supportive for those living with depression, anxiety, overwhelming feelings, low self-esteem and those living with a medical diagnosis or condition.
I am an Integrative Counsellor and have been told by clients that they experience me as calm and easy to talk to. My Integrative training enables me to draw on a range of modalities. The modalities I use are: Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, Creative interventions and Imagery.
Finding a counsellor with whom you feel comfortable and safe with to talk about what you are going through can be overwhelming. I offer a free half hour session online or telephone to enable us to find out more about each other and whether I am the right counsellor to help you.

Rates: £60 per 1-hour session
Availability: Accepting New Clients
I am an empathic, caring and professional therapist, passionate about the work I do in helping people to feel better about themselves and in turn to live happier and more fulfilled lives. I work with anyone aged 18 and over.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning that I have trained in and use a variety of theories, models and techniques to help you explore, and make sense of the difficulties you are experiencing.
I work with a wide range of issues, specialising in stress, anxiety, overwhelm, IBS, confidence, low self esteem, imposter syndrome and the subsequent effects of these on all aspects of your life.
It doesn’t matter who we are, what jobs, positions or roles we have, we all struggle during our lives for a variety of reasons. From unmet needs in our childhoods, particular memories, events, or experiences that have affected us as unique individuals and subsequently shape the way we see ourselves leading to a negative effect on our lives.
Working with a therapist helps us to unravel this, to gain an understanding of why we feel the way we do and to learn some techniques to change unhelpful and often hindering coping strategies.
I bring my experience as a therapist over the last 8 years, continuous learning and development, understanding from my own personal struggles, life experiences and therapy and also my previous long term career in the police service.

What is counselling?
I describe counselling as a chance to Pause…Explore…Understand…and Change…
You can take time to pause and talk with someone who is separate from your everyday life. We can explore the things that are important to you to build connections and understanding that can help to create positive change in your life.
How can it help?
Do you find yourself stuck in the same things over and over again?
Do you struggle in some of your relationships or do you feel anxious or low time and time again?
Maybe you’re feeling generally lost in life and need some support to figure out what’s next.
You might be looking to process trauma or seeking to understand your emotions and reactions.
If you would like to understand yourself better and make some changes that will last, I can support you along the way.
What to expect
I am trained in a range of techniques meaning your counselling is specific to you. My trauma-informed approach means that we can zoom out and explore how life, both past and present, may be contributing to the challenges that you are facing currently. This way of practicing focuses on you as a whole person and empowers you to make sustainable positive change.
My work is Neurodiversity affirming and I will support you as you cultivate the life you want to lead.
If you are struggling at home or at school. If relationships are feeling difficult or you’re struggling with self confidence, I can support you to explore anything that is important to you.
With a compassionate and empowering approach, I aim to support you to navigate the challenges that you are facing and cultivate the life you want to lead.
I hold advanced specialist training cert. in counselling children and young people. With extensive experience working in mainstream schools, specialist education provisions and local counselling organisations, I understand the challenges that you may be facing at school or in other areas of your life.
I am an accredited professional member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

As a Creative Kinesiologist, I guide individuals on a personal journey of self-discovery, helping them reconnect with their own rhythm and intuition.
Through understanding the mind-body connection, we begin to uncover and become aware of old, stuck patterns that may be influencing our lives in ways we can’t always see, but can often feel as physical aches and pains, anxiety, eating disorders, low self-esteem, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, overwhelm, lack of energy, shyness, PTSD, obsessive compulsive behaviour patterns, frozen shoulder, addictions, migraines, relationship problems, etc.
These recurring obstacles -sometimes invisible, yet deeply felt – create invisible walls that keep us from moving forward.
It is not about quick fixes. It is about uncovering the deeper layers of our being on all levels, physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Discovering the beliefs and thought patterns that no longer serve us, and creating space to develop new ones. This process allows us to reflect on what we are attracting into our lives and what we truly want to manifest instead.
I work with the very gentle and non- invasive tool of muscle testing that taps into the body’s own wisdom and responses. However it can just be about listening and witnessing at first or on a purely energetic level – without any physical contact – allowing us to be guided entirely by my one’s individual needs.
Together, we explore your organic, natural, and creative timing – discovering how your own nervous system, potentially stuck in fight/flight or freeze mode, has been impacting your responses to life’s challenges. I will guide you to tap into a different kind of intelligence – the wisdom of your own body, which knows exactly what might be needed to heal on all levels.
This journey is not about a quick fix. It’s about deep, lasting transformation, where healing can happen through awareness, connection, and understanding.
As you explore and release what no longer is of service, you can come to understand the unique intelligence of the body and the incredible power of your own healing potential.

Kelly Day
Schedule: Friday AM & PM
Rates: £45 1hr | £60 1.5hr | £80 2hr
Availability: Accepting New Clients
I am qualified as an integrative counsellor and work using this as a theoretical foundation, although have grown to incorporate different aspects of spirituality, creativity, and exploration through different forms.
Throughout the process of therapy we will work together to unravel and make connection with all aspects of the self and beyond– mind, body, spirit and emotion. This can be a challenging yet rewarding process as you get to know yourself at a core level.
We hold such wisdom inside ourselves. Often we are not aware of this until we begin the journey of unravelling in a safe space.
A session will be very much led by your needs. Areas that I specialise in are the areas that I have lived experience in. These include trauma, areas concerning self worth and self esteem, anxiety, addiction, relationships to self and others, and self harm.
We will work together on this journey and go at a pace that you are comfortable with. All that you are feeling is welcome. There will be no judgement or ‘fixing’. A session may involve talking but can also incorporate writing, drawing, using sound and movement, meditation, shamanic healing, or using different objects possibly from nature or something that you bring along.
I work with clients in a variety of ways, gently guiding and holding space for depth and process. Spirituality is a thread that flows through my work. I am able to help you to understand your emotions, what is beneath them, what are they telling you, and how they are manifesting. Often we feel physical pain or sensations, or behave in sabotaging ways or have habits or destructive patterns that we are not quite sure where they come from until we begin to look at them within a therapeutic space.
Please get in touch if you would like to speak further. I work in Crediton and Exeter and can sometimes come to your home depending on availability.
I can also sometimes offer reduced rates subject to your situation.
